Sarnia teen allegedly stabs neighbour after noise dispute

The 18-year-old is facing four charges.

A Sarnia teenager is facing multiple charges after allegedly stabbing his neighbour following a noise dispute.

Police say 18-year-old Craig Blendel argued with his 64-year-old neighbour on Oct. 28 about “excess noise” coming from Blendel’s house.

Later that day, Blendel walked over to his neighbour’s front door and “began knocking loudly.”

The pair engaged in another short argument before Blendel allegedly stabbed the man.

Police arrived just after 5 PM and found the 64-year-old with two stab wounds: one to his upper arm and the other to his right shoulder blade.

Paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to a hospital for “non-life-threatening injuries.”

Blendel, meanwhile, was sitting on the porch of the house next door. Police arrested him and charged him with aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, and two counts of disobeying court orders.

Blendel was remanded into custody after his bail hearing.
