Two wanted for assaulting Oshawa man in his driveway last Christmas Eve: police

The duo also allegedly followed the man into his house and tried to stab him.

Police are looking for two men who allegedly assaulted an Oshawa man in his driveway and tried to stab him in his house last Christmas Eve.

The duo approached the man as he stood in his driveway around 9:30 PM. Police say they struck up a conversation with the man before assaulting him.

“The victim attempted to flee back into his residence but was followed by the suspects where the assault continued,” Durham police said.

When inside, one of them pulled out a knife and tried to stab the man. He missed and they both fled to a nearby getaway car.

The man sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police describe the suspects as being in their 20s with facial hair, one black and the other brown. They drove a light-coloured Chevrolet sedan.
