Guelph woman charged with spitting in paramedic's face

The 27-year-old was receiving attention for medical distress.

A Guelph woman is facing charges after allegedly spitting on a paramedic.

Police were called to an address on Woolwich Street near Speedvale Avenue around 4:30 PM Wednesday, where paramedics were already attending to a 27-year-old woman in medical distress.

Police say the woman became uncooperative and spat in a paramedic’s face.

She was arrested at the scene and is now charged with assault.

She is scheduled to appear in court on January 13.
