Guelph boy, 14, accused of punching and dragging 14-year-old girl
He is charged with assault.

A Guelph boy has been arrested after a violent disturbance outside a south-end home Tuesday afternoon.
Just before 4 p.m., police received multiple calls regarding a disturbance near Scottsdale Drive and Ironwood Road. They learned that a 14-year-old girl had been punched in the face and dragged before a witness intervened and stopped the assault.
The girl was assessed by paramedics at the scene for her injuries.
The suspect fled after the witness intervened, but police located and arrested him a short time later.
A 14-year-old Guelph boy is now charged with assault. He was held for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
