Oshawa couple accused of trying to lure 15-year-old girl into prostitution

A man and a woman from Oshawa, ON, are facing charges after allegedly trying to lure a 15-year-old girl into the sex trade.

Durham Police allege that 29-year-old Kimeron Kamal Grant approached the girl at a coffee shop in Vaughan and offered her a ride home. The girl accepted and the man proceeded to drive her to “various locations across the GTA.”

Grant allegedly took the girl’s cellphone before bringing her to his house in Oshawa, where 21-year-old Desirae Bailey met them.

Grant then allegedly sexually assaulted the girl and forced her to stay overnight. The girl left the next day.

On Oct. 23, police executed a search warrant on an Oshawa house and arrested both Grant and Bailey.

Bailey has been charged with procuring a person under 18, while Grant has been charged with:

• Procuring Person Under 18

• Sexual Assault on Person Under 16 x2

• Sexual Interference with Person Under 16 x2

• Forcible Confinement

• Invitation to Sexual Touching Under 16 x2

• Possession of Schedule I Substance

• Trafficking Schedule I Substance

Police held both of them for a bail hearing.

None of the allegations against them have been proven in court.
